TV3 Presenter Charged With Drug Abuse

JOHOR BAHARU, May 14 (Bernama) -- TV3 presenter Mazidulakmal Sidik and three others were charged in the Magistrate's Court here today with drug abuse.
Mazidulakmal, 40, Fadzli Ramli, 40, Tumijah Adras, 34, and Umaisyah Abdul Rahim, 25, pleaded not guilty to injecting themselves with methamphetamine at Room 88, Groove City Sdn Bhd in Jalan Abdullah Tahir at 2.45am last Saturday.
They could be fined up to RM3,000 each if convicted under the Dangerous Drugs Act.
Magistrate Rasidah Roslee allowed bail of RM3,000 with one surety each and fixed Sept 24 for trial.
Mazidulakmal and Fadzli were represented by counsel A.Vimala while the other two were unrepresented.
Chief Insp David Chong Seng Yong appeared for the prosecution.
