thread ni bukan nak menfitnah angkasawan kita dr sheikh muszaphar... tapi beliau skarang dah menjadi hero kita, idola kita, sanjungan kita... jadi nak tak nak beliau merupakan tumpuan masyarakat.... jadi mungkin di sini kita dapat bertukar informasi mengenai hubungan sebenar dr sheikh muszapha dan chef ismail yg telah menimbulkan pelbagai spekulasi... kita tau terdapat segelintir yg berpendapat kita patut mengelakkan dari berbincang dan malahan mengetahui lebih dalam mengenai perkara ini atas dasar untuk menutup aib agama, bangsa dan negara kiranya perkara ini sememangnya merupakan satu kebenaran.... maka saya berharap sebagai masyarakat yg berhak untuk berbincang dan mengetahui lebih lagi perkara ini, saya berharap forumer dapat berdiskusi dengan matang perkara ini.

Raya not the same without Sheikh Muszaphar, say friends

MALAYSIA’S first astronaut Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor is celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri in space while his business partner Chef Ismail Ahmad, restaurant staff and close friends miss him dearly.

For most of them, this is the first time in recent years that they are celebrating the festival without Dr Sheikh Muszaphar.

“In the past few years I drove him around on the first day of Raya when he visited his friends, before I went back to my own family,” said Dr Sheikh Muszaphar’s driver Ismail Sharif, 39,

The loyal employee has been with the astronaut throughout the application process and training sessions.

“He is the best boss one could ever have. He never treats me as a staff, but as a close friend,” recalled Ismail.

He added that he and Dr Sheikh Muszaphar kept in touch through SMS all the time.

Restaurant Rebung’s chief cook Normah Mustafa, 48, said she missed Dr Sheikh Muszaphar a lot.

“But I am so proud of him,” she said.

Chef Ismail, who has known Dr Sheikh Muszaphar for seven years, sent his best regards to the astronaut.

“I remember him saying he is going to open five more Rebung when he comes back, and I hope this is going to happen soon,” he said.

“Selamat Hari Raya!” he added cheekily.
